The Spartan Booster Club is led by a volunteer board committed to transparency, teamwork, and serving student-athletes. Our board helps oversee fundraising efforts, financial stewardship, community partnerships, and Booster Club operations.

We believe in keeping processes clear and responsible so the community can trust how funds are managed and how support is provided to athletics programs.

Indiana Madrid

President
Indiana Madrid is a proud Bernalillo High School alumna with deep roots in the Bernalillo community. As a former collegiate soccer player and coach of six years, she has always been passionate about helping others grow, build confidence, and reach their full potential. That same passion led her into the beauty industry, where she now combines education, entrepreneurship, and service to create meaningful impact.
As the owner of M Spa, Indiana intentionally chose to build her business in her home community — creating jobs, generating local revenue, and giving back to the place that helped shape her. She is deeply committed to bringing opportunity to Bernalillo through aesthetics, education, and mentorship. In addition to serving clients, she teaches students and is working toward building a Career and Technical Education program for the beauty industry to one day bring expanded opportunities to Bernalillo students.
Indiana’s mission goes beyond skincare and beauty. She is dedicated to investing in her community, empowering others, and creating pathways for future generations right here at home.

Loretta Apodaca

Secretary

My roots at Bernalillo Public Schools run deep. I am a proud graduate of Bernalillo High School, as are my four sisters and my four daughters. My grandchildren have also attended Bernalillo Public Schools. Our family’s connection to this community spans generations, and I am incredibly proud of that legacy.

My professional career spans more than 40 years, including experience in healthcare, banking, county government, education, and eighteen years with the Gas Company of New Mexico. However, the most rewarding chapter of my career has been the past twenty years serving as a master teacher at Bernalillo High School. During that time, I taught and managed two impactful programs—JAG and AVID—working closely with students to help them reach their full potential.  I retired from Bernalillo Public Schools in 2024.

Through my years in public education, I have gained a deep understanding of the challenges facing today’s youth and our education system. That understanding, along with my lifelong commitment to this community, has inspired me to volunteer with the Spartan Booster Club. I am honored to support not only Bernalillo High School athletics, but more importantly, the young people who represent the future of our community.
